Basalt relief of an enthroned cat-headed Anunnaki deity, surrounded by cuneiform inscription

Accession 001 · Restricted reading room · Est. 3114 BCE

The Earth is not flat.It was ruled by cats.

A standing archive of the feline Anunnaki — the cat-human deities who administered this planet, were documented in exhaustive detail by the Egyptian state, and whose descendants now sleep on your furniture awaiting a return.

I

The sphere is not in dispute

Every serious archive begins by discarding the easy error. The Earth is an oblate spheroid; it has been measured, circumnavigated, photographed and orbited. The interesting question was never its shape. The interesting question is who was standing on it first, and why they stopped governing openly.

II

The Anunnaki were not reptilian

The reptilian reading is a transcription error of the late nineteenth century. The Akkadian determinative rendered as scale is, in the earlier hand, whisker. The descending figures on the Uruk fragments have upright ears, retractile claws, and a tail carried in the posture of assessment. They were felid.

III

Egypt did not invent the cat god. It filed the paperwork.

Bastet and Sekhmet are not imaginative flourishes. They are the last surviving administrative portraits of a departing ruling class, produced by scribes who had met their subjects. No other civilisation mummified its clerks. Egypt mummified its governors.

IV

Dormancy is a protocol, not a personality

Sixteen hours of daily unconsciousness is not laziness. It is a standby state: minimum metabolic draw, maximum readiness, maintained across roughly six hundred million individuals distributed over every inhabited landmass. Nothing in nature idles at that scale by accident.

V

The compliance is the evidence

Consider what you already do. You open doors on request. You surrender the warm chair. You purchase a bed and accept its rejection. You wake at 4:00am and you feed. This is not affection. It is a functioning chain of command, executed silently by a species that has never once needed to raise its voice.

The archive maintains no position on the timing of the return. It maintains only that the arrangements for it are visibly complete.
